Operation Warm Feet A Success

Operation Warm Feet

During the month of October and November, members of the Watertown Elks Lodge raised money to buy hats, mittens, and boots for local children in need. The Community Action Planning Council is dedicated to assist, support and empower low-income households. Their staff are able to identify the specific needs of children enrolled in their Head Start Program. As a result, with the generous donation from the Watertown Elks Lodge, working together with CAPC, we were able to purchase 217 pairs of winter boots and 206 hat/mitten sets. The items were distributed to the children who otherwise would have gone without. Charity begins at home and our winters can be particularly harsh. A special thank you goes out to those who donated to this worthy cause and be proud that you once again have proved that Elks Care ~ Elks Share!
